Managing Partner
Matt joined the firm after graduating from CSU Chico in 2013 and has since grown into a leadership role as Managing Partner. With a background that includes running his own brewery and restaurant, he blends entrepreneurial insight with deep financial expertise. Matt focuses on leadership, financial analysis, and business strategy, helping clients move forward with clarity and confidence. Active in his community as a Rotarian and nonprofit board member, he’s also passionate about BBQ, often found smoking or grilling for family and friends.
Partner
Clar has been part of the Crescent City community since 1974 and joined the firm in 1990, becoming partner in 1996. He specializes in trust and estate taxation and advising small businesses, bringing decades of technical expertise and precision to his clients. Clar leads the Brookings, Oregon office, where his client-first approach and strong community ties continue to define his work. Outside the office, he enjoys family time and being a proud grandparent.
Partner Emeritus
Kevin, a proud Crescent City native, graduated from Del Norte High School in 1979. He earned his Bachelor’s degree with honors (cum laude) from California State University, Chico, and pursued Master’s classes in Taxation at Golden Gate University. A licensed CPA in both California and Oregon, Kevin started his career as a Senior Tax Consultant at Price Waterhouse in Sacramento, CA. He returned to Crescent City in 1987, joining a local accounting firm and quickly becoming a respected community leader.
